Vootie Productions welcomes the return of Colorado newgrass favorites Yonder
Mountain String Band to Bozeman’s Emerson Center on Thursday, July 24th at
8pm. Colorado’s YONDER MOUNTAIN STRING BAND known for its high-energy,
improvisational live shows, has just released a new live album on the band’s
own Frog Pad Records.  This marks the 5th volume in their lauded series of
live albums, Mountain Tracks.  Blending bluegrass and rock with traditional
instrumentation (guitar, bass, mandolin and banjo), YONDER has pioneered a
sound that is their own over the past ten years as a band.  Tickets are $22
in advance and will go on sale this Saturday, may 10th at 10 am at Cactus,

The Yonder Mountain String Band (abbreviated YMSB) is an American progressive bluegrass group from Nederland, Colorado. Composed of Dave Johnston, Jeff Austin, Ben Kaufmann, and Adam Aijala, the band has released four studio albums and several live recordings to date.

Colorado is bordered by the northwest state of Wyoming to the north, the midwest states of Nebraska and Kansas to the northeast and east, on the south by New Mexico and a small portion of the southern state of Oklahoma, and on the west by Utah. The four states of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah meet at one common point known as the Four Corners, which is known as the heart of the American Southwest. Colorado is one of only three U.S. states with no natural borders, the others being neighboring Wyoming and Utah.
