New West Unfiltered By freegold, New West Unfiltered 10-05-05

MSSN is the New Montana Seed Savers Network which is forming to co-ordinate the networking in Montana of locally grown natural (and hopefully organic) seed stock (vegetable, fruit, herbs and flowers)as well as educating interested people in the art of seed saving. We are co-ordinating with the Missoula Urban Demonstration Project(M.U.D.)

What is needed to develop a seed-saving network in Montana?
MSSN is looking for other individuals/groups who are interested in databasing, outreach, growing, packaging, exchanging and storing Montana grown seedstock. We also seek potential partners who could provide residential and work space and equipment for interns/volunteers to work in several areas of Montana.
We are also looking for the donation of a newer portable computer capable of databasing, wireless networking, and writing to dvd/cd.

Information on transgenic seed stock (GMO)
Recently released information reveals that the major purveyor of GMO seed-stock and supposedly "organic" seeds throughout most of America as well as the world is none other than Semnis Seeds (bought by Monsanto:

Seminis is internationally dominant in some
genetically engineered food seeds."
