Invitation: NewWest.Net Hosts Scott Thompson’s “Ganamos Las Calles”

NewWest.Net is hosting Scott Montgomery and his photography exhibit Ganamos Las Calles in February at the NewWest.Net office at 415 N. Higgins.

Join us for a First Friday opening reception Friday, February 6 from 5-9 p.m.

Ganamos Las Calles is a photographic exploration of the culture of Argentinean protest and an examination of how protest became a fundamental necessity for the Argentinean nation. The exhibition documents how communities unite behind political causes and celebrates the peaceful ways by which individuals express themselves. The photos are drawn from two separate protests which took place in downtown Buenos Aires in the spring of 2008.
