From what I've read, his dad was from Africa but never married his mother. His mother was born in America but married someone from Indonesia and shortly thereafter Obama was born moved there (I think), and so this would negate his being eligible through his mother because she didn't stay in the states for 10 years thereafter.
Does anyone have a clue on this?
McCain was born in the Suez Canal area, I believe, but Congress passed a law that says he is eligible because that area was under US dominion at that time.
