Man Strikes Dogs With Club
Nude Sunbathing In Oregon Turns Violent
By Joseph Friedrichs, 7-29-08
Just when you thought it was safe to soak in some rays in the nude, reports of a naked sunbather being harassed by vicious Chihuahuas comes out of Oregon.
The incident occurred near at Sand Island at Rooster Rock State Park. Portions of the island are designated as clothing optional.
How it all went down is very simple: Portland resident Josh Meiller landed his raft, four children and two Chihuahuas at a spot he thought was several hundred feet from the nudist area. When the dogs charged 74-year-old nude sunbather Donald Kenney, of Vancouver, Wash., Kenney beat them and their owner with a collapsible police baton.
Meiller suffered cuts, abrasions and a headache as a result of the attack. No injuries were reported regarding the small dogs.

For the non-native, Rooster Rock is a huge column of basalt with a substantial German helmet on top. The resemblance from some views quite anatomically correct. It is an attraction for painters, and the beach is a strutting ground for the endowed and those who appreciate that kind of thing. The boat ramp for river fishing that area is there. Close to Portland on I-84.
The Indians of the Columbia Gorge for many centuries past made their pestles in that shape. I guess the ladies pounding out their daily bread got some sort of pleasure from using the most recognizable symbol of manhood to crush their seeds and grains. So phallic symbols have been common in the Gorge for millennia. I guess, then, the new embodiment of that symbol is Donald Kenney, the new prick in the Gorge.
