Photos: Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo

Ridin' and ropin' was the order of the day in Cheyenne recently at a rodeo called "The Daddy of 'em All."

Bull riding, one of the most popular events at any rodeo, demonstrated here during Cheyenne Frontier Days.

Cowboys and cowgirls earned more than $1 million in prize money at the 115th annual Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo, which finished at the end of July.

Another incentive was was the opportunity to qualify for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, but Wyoming remains the Cowboy State, boasting a bucking horse and rider on its license plate and sports teams from the University of Wyoming known as the Cowboys and Cowgirls. It was no surprise that the buckaroos came first to the rodeo called “The Daddy of ‘em All.” Here are some wild images of this year’s action. All photos are by Don Christner.
