Sasquatch Lives In The Great West

Forget about kicking back at the lake during Memorial Day Weekend, it's all about live music. The Gorge will showcase acts ranging from R.E.M. to Okkervil River.

If you’re a live-music junkie and live in the West, there’s no better place to during Memorial Day Weekend than at the Sasquatch! Music Festival at The Gorge in Washington.

Acts ranging from the likes of Okkervil River, Modest Mouse, R.E.M., The Cure, Cold War Kids, Death Cab for Cutie, The Flaming Lips, The Presidents of the United States of America are just the tip of the bliss at Sasquatch! this year.

Now in its seventh year, Sasquatch! is the West’s equivalent of the giant festival Bonnaroo, held each summer in Tennessee. 

Sasquatch! Kicks off Saturday at noon. We’ll be on hand providing NewWest.Net readers an inside scoop on what’s a’ happenin’ inside Sasquatch!

Sasquatch! Info: Single-day tickets are $76.50 at Ticketmaster. Parking is free. All ages are welcome.

The only thing I am not quite sure about this festival is the name. Sasquatch don't reside on the highlands above the Mighty Columbia! Everyone knows they live hundreds of miles to the south west in the great forests surrounding the 101. What is up with that?
