The Run of a Lifetime: Nushagak Bay
A drift boat chugs through Nushagak Bay below the Wood Mountains while set net fishermen fly into the seasonal fishing village Ekuk, Alaska. Nushagak Bay is connected on the North East of Bristol Bay, which is home to the largest return of Sockeye Salmon in the world. The height of the season is at the end of June to mid July when 600 drift boats fill the bay and set nets line the beaches.
