Having lived close to the border for almost a decade, I had grown familiar with the unique events related to illegal immigration into this country and the attempts to enforce the law. In this image I scan the terrain west of Nogales searching for activity. My goal was to find more intimate images than the more generic -- and purportedly representative -- images in which the big news organizations (and maybe the American people) have shown so much interest
