Election Night
Results Updates, and Free Beer Tomorrow
By Richard Martin, 11-01-05
Update, 9:40 p.m.: With just under half of precincts reporting, Denver Channel 7 is reporting Ref. C a clear winner, with 53%. D is now locked 50-50. Stay tuned for more.
According to the Denver Post’s election results page, which was updated seven minutes ago, with 16% of precincts reporting Referendum C is passing by 52.4% to 47.6%. Sister measure Ref. D, which is essentially meaningless unless C passes, is losing, oddly enough, 49.8 to 50.2 – which probably means nothing at this stage.
Coming to you from New West Election World HQ – actually, my desk at my house in Four-Mile Canyon – I’ll be bringing you updates throughout the night – well, actually till midnight or so – from our crack team of correspondents fanning out across the state – Howard Rothman and Sandra Fish, actually, in Denver.
Stick around, crack a warm Guiness, and find out whether progress or Thatcherism will win in Colorado!
