Super Burrito Set To Close
By Joseph Friedrichs, 7-27-07
If you’ve never eaten a lengua from downtown Bend’s Super Burrito, you have until Tuesday to make it happen.
Because come Wednesday, Super Burrito will no longer exist.
The decade-old establishment is closing its doors next week, making space for some presumably lame retail store on Northwest Minnesota Avenue.
The Bend Bulletin reported that the building’s owner is remodeling the structure and plans to put retail stores in the spaces once occupied by two other restaurants.
The Moreno family, owners and operators of Super Burrito, said they don’t know when and where they might open another Super Burrito, but Patty Moreno says downtown rents may keep them out of the city’s core, the Bulletin reported.
So, if you haven’t eaten a lengua burrito from this fine, low cost Mexican restaurant, then please, oh please, go and purchase one.
Viva la lengua!
