Montana Congressional Candidate on Leading Edge with Online Campaign
By Courtney Lowery, 4-20-06
We've been tracking how political candidates in Western states are utilizing the Web in their campaigns and by far, Eric Jon Gunderson, a Frenchtown Democrat running for Montana's single House of Representatives seat Uwins for most dynamic Web site with his www.gunderson4congress.com.
The music is quite soothing and the design very, um, lively, and the animated "issues" page is not to be missed. He has a blog and includes an interactivity layer by adding memory games and a typing test. Whether the site will help garner votes remains to be seen, of course, and incumbent Republican Denny Rehberg is a heavy favorite for re-election. But we definitely give Gunderson points for pushing the envelope.
