A Special Editorial Project
Planning in the West
By New West Editor, 9-19-06
As growth in the West continues to accelerate, the importance of good planning becomes evermore obvious. How can the region absorb the many people who want to live here while retaining its unique character and spectacular spaces.
The Orton Family Foundation is devoted to supporting planners around the country with good tools and information and as part of that effort is producing a conference October 19-21 entitled, PLACEMATTERS06. Orton, New West and Headwaters News have teamed up to produce this special editorial project on planning in the West.
On this page, you'll find a series of stories that investigate planning in region. We hope you find these stories interesting and educational. Please let us know what you think.
