REPORTS: Here comes another blast of arctic air. Looks like thing'll be put on hold here in terms of the fishing for this week at least. Lots of floe ice in the rivers these days. Might want to just kick back, tie some flies or finish that rod you started building last fall.

REPORTS: Too much ice in the river to make any sense of indicator motion these days. More likely to have a poetry free environmental studies class than good dryfly fishing right now. Give it awhile.

REPORTS: The river has been taking on an Al Gore kind of persona lately, slow and windy. Might be better to wait it out a week or two. Flows are up around 5,000 these days so if you haven't been over here for awhile, you'll see a whole new river.
HATCHES: midges.
FLIES: Griffith's gnats, size 16 and 18 pink and gray scuds, small brassies and copper Bobs, tiny flashback p-tails, red San Juans, pink or salmon colored egg patterns.
