Jackson Hole Hopes for Snow

On his Mountain Weather Web site, Jackson Hole's weather man Jim Woodmencey predicts only traces of snow up to one inch in town through the weekend.

Despite some valiant attempts at snow dances and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort's Dec. 2 opening, the skies have been blue. Moonlight skiers hit rocks on Teton Pass Wednesday, groomer skiers retire by lunch time due to icy conditions and everyone waits.

Jackson Hole News&Guide co-editor Angus Thuermer reported today that the snow pack shrunk more than 10 percent in the last week and is down to 73 percent of normal. To read the full article, click here.
