Tester, Schweitzer, Baucus Rally for Missoula Vote

By Kerry McMannis, 11-03-06

Montana's three big Democrats showed up for a late campaign stop on the UM campus last night. As Tester’s drive for the senate reaches its last turn into the finish line, supporters were treated to an adrenaline-boosting rally. Max Baucus, Brain Schweitzer and Senate hopeful Jon Tester filled the UC Theater to capacity while throngs of Tester supporters stood outside in the hall.

People showed their support with Tester signs, t-shirts and in some cases Tester signs made into t-shirts. The mood was high and the jokes were rolling. But the message was also serious.

"Don't listen to the polls, Jon's not ahead,” Governor Schweitzer warned. “This is dead dang tied, right down the middle."

Get out and vote was the chorus of all three speeches. Get your friends out to vote, get your neighbors out to vote. Check out Schweitzer’s three-step plan to win the election in the long version of the video below.
