By signing another contract with the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Thursday, Teton Gravity Research hopes to continue as the brand for ski films across the country.
Resort officials announced Thursday that it signed a four-year, six-figure contract with the film company that will last until 2010.

Officials say the contract reflects a commitment to the "big mountain, high testosterone experience JHMR provides and the confidence in this Teton Village, WY based company." Officials, whose Web site already features a video of the week, by local Storm Show Studios, said the contract also highlights the resort's commitment to the film medium.

As part of the contract, TGR will air footage on the resort's Web site, jacksonhole.com, set up Web cams on the slopes and add a link on tetongravity.com that will allow people to book travel to the area online through Jackson Hole Central Reservations.

"We are proud to have signed a long term deal with JHMR, it means a lot to all our owners and employees to receive this local support," TGR Founder Dirk Collins said in a statement Thursday. "It allows us to work closely with JHMR operations and marketing, and will give us new insights into their business goals. Our business continues to grow annually and we are committed to helping JHMR reach their skier day goals via marketing strategies, in particular film."

Continually adding marketing strategies to attract all types of skiers to Jackson Hole, resort officials said TGR's presence on the slopes and in the valley will help them do that. "With $60 million spent on major capital improvements over the past 10 years, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has increasingly become a destination chosen by families and mixed ability groups," Resort President Jerry Blann said in a statement Thursday. "In tandem with these growing markets, it is important to us to continue to inspire the younger generation with our legendary mountain appeal."

In addition to its most recent film, Anomaly, TGR also released The Big One, a compilation of footage from the last 10 years in Jackson Hole.
The film's highlights include resort founder Paul McCollister's vision of North America's largest tram, skier MIcah Black talking about the 30-year record snow fall and clips from TGR's meager beginnings as a four-man show in 1996.
