To mark the beginning of interfaith week in Utah, The Salt Lake City Film Center will be screening the documentary Secrets of Mary Magdalene. The documentary, which is actually a companion piece to the book of the same name, discusses Mary Magdalene and her role in theology, legend and myth. The film will be accompanied by a discussion with contributing author, Maxine Hanks. The screening will be held at 1:00pm at Salt Lake City's downtown public library on Sunday, February 4th and is free and open to the public. [End of article]

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Maxine Hanks for being there yesterday and answering our questions. I appreciated hearing her comments and feeling her humble spirit, and was grateful for being able to be there. I was especially impressed with her answer regarding the last question, in which she mentioned something about how the Holy Grail should not to be thought of as just a bloodline, but like a seed, in which we can all let grow by finding the divine light within each of us. I wished to meet someone whose geneology went back to Joseph Smith and to Christ our savior and to hear them say something like that. Yesterday my wish came true. Thanks again Maxine!
Sincerely,
Donna Connolly

I just discovered this gem of a web site, what a lively publication. I want to thank Donna Connolly for her beautiful comment and for attending our film screening and discussion, made possible by the presence of people like herself. What a delight to find comments like hers after a public event. I'm convinced that the divine is made manifest in this world by the mirror of light in like souls.
Thanks Donna. I hope to meet you again.
