Gogolab’s “The Face Off”

Gogolab is a labcoat-clad Denver trio that specializes in creating electronic soundtracks to imaginary '60s and '70s spy movies. The band headlines the Boulder Theater on February 22 (9 p.m., $10, 21+, Hello Stranger and Goodbye Champion open), and boasts a number of regular gigs around town, including a set every Wednesday night at Appaloosa Grill.

Gogolab conceived its debut album, The Stakeout as the "soundtrack to a spy action b-movie" in which "Our private eye action hero assembles a crack team of renegades who trace a gang of drug dealers halfway around the world to the jungles of Southeast Asia."
