Cool Tools for Networkers: JAXTR

By Liz Ryan, 4-13-07

I can hardly keep up with all the new tools for bloggers and networkers, but here is one of my favorite: Jaxtr. You put a little widget on your blog, or your MySpace profile or somewhere else (sadly, not LinkedIn, at least not yet) where people might go to look for you. The little widget can speak for you, in your voice, if you like (see how mine works on my Ask Liz Ryan blog) or stay silent if you prefer. But people can click on the link in the widget and call your cell phone, then and there, FOR FREE. They can either talk to you live (if you set up your Jaxtr account that way) or leave you a text message. Either way—it’s cool. You can Jaxtr people all over the world. It is the greatest thing to get audio messages, like voicemail messages through your profile or your blog, and it’s all free, and you can change your audio greeting any time you want, for instance, to mention your new book or your new grandchild or whatever.
