Watch soon for the opening of THE EPICURIAN BISTRO in the erstwhile Valentino's spot - the former JB's Big Boy location, on Stephens a block just north of Brooks. It will be operated by Tony Koures, one of the sons of the family who had the Zorba's restaurant on Orange for many years.

Abe,
Good news! Thanks for the tip.

Tony Koures (my brother) and his wife Anupama have been world travelers and have enjoyed dining at some of the best restaurants in the world. Tony is a wine connoiseur, great cook, and brilliant entrepreneur. Annupama is a pastry chef, exceptional gourmet cook, experienced manager, and adventurer with ecclectic multi-cultural experiences. I personally look forward to supporting their venture to bring top-notch asian-mediterranean dining to Missoula. This has been a long-term dream of theirs and I'm glad they chose to pursue it in Missoula.

I'm glad for the new restaurant!

Missoula's reputation as the home of fine dining suffered with the closing of Perugia. In addition to the great food and signature dishes he created, Ray Risho was unfailing in his expression of graciousness and hospitality. The genuine warmth that he conveyed as he welcomed folks to his restaurant (and Emmaus Road before that!) set the standard for hospitality as far as I am concerned. Quite simply, he is a wonderful and imaginative artist and a good and kind human being. His lovely wife Susie deserves those same accolades.
