Saturday, July 7
Lakeside Lavender Festival — Pick your own lavender on a lakeside farm. The festival has beautiful and tranquil fields of purple shrubs and products and crafts to peruse, food, music, and more. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Lakeside Lavender Farm in Nampa.

Sunday, July 8
Tour de Boise — There are only 1,000 riders allowed to enter this Boise Coop-sponsored bike tour with 15- and 30-mile courses. Cost is $40 but there’s no day-of registration so hurry if you still want to join the fun that includes a French luncheon, wine tasting, and a Tour De Boise T-Shirt. Events begin at 8 a.m. at the St. Luke’s Idaho Elks Rehabilitation Services parking lot

Galactic — The New Orleans-based funk-jazz-rock quintet hits up Boise to hype up their upcoming record “From the Corner to the Block” p.m. The show’s at 7:30 p.m. at the Big Easy Concert House, and tickets are $20 or $22.50 at the door.

Wednesday, July 11
Alive After Five — Nothing like hanging out at AA5 in The Grove in the heart of downtown Boise. Eat, imbibe, flirt, run through the fountain, or just watch the zany dancers. It’s free from 5 to 8 p.m. This week’s musical performer is the joyous jam act the Motet.
