Barack Obama’s Missoula Stop Unconfirmed

Last week, Great Falls Tribune Capitol Bureau Chief John S. Adams reported that Sen. Barack Obama will stop in Missoula for a rally at the University of Montana before moving on to Butte for the April 5th Mansfield-Metcalf dinner, citing high level Democratic Party sources, but Obama’s campaign has not contacted the University of Montana, according to University Relations Director Rita Munzenrider.
Both Sens. Obama and Hillary Clinton have confirmed plans to attend the dinner in Butte, the Montana Democratic Party’s largest fundraiser
“Obviously it would be a cool thing to get any presidential candidate on campus,” Munzenrider said of the reports of Obama’s visit to Missoula, “but at this time none of the candidates have made any plans with us.”
The Montana Democratic Party echoed the University, saying nothing beyond Butte is confirmed. But spokesman Kevin O’ Brien said he wouldn’t be surprised if the candidates tried to visit as many Montana cities as possible, especially since it’s looking more and more like the state will play a key role in deciding this year’s primaries.
Last minute stops aren’t unheard of, Munzenrider said, using former presidential candidate John Edwards’ September visit as an example. She’d been hearing rumors for several weeks that Sen. Edwards was coming, but it wasn’t until a week before that it was officially confirmed.
“Hopefully we’ll know something soon,” Munzenrider said.
On March 19 at 9:00 a.m. 2,400 general admission tickets for the Mansfield-Metcalf dinner will go on sale (here), and planners at the Montana Democratic Party are expecting them to go fast. The tickets are $40 and are being sold on a first come first serve basis. The event, to be held inside the Butte Civic Center, will feature both Democratic presidential candidates as well as Governor Brian Schweitzer, Sens. Max Baucus and Jon Tester, and South Dakota Congresswoman Stephanie Herseth Sandlin.

After going on keith Oberman ,Show obama said he would denounce that if he heard that language he would leave and not tolerate it , and denounce it
After he went on MSNBC,, he went on FOX CNN ABC< all the news station saying he was never there,,, in his church when he said these things,,
But Now today during his speech,,He states flat out Say's HE was there,,, Last week Barack Obama Lied,, went on all the news stations, and Lied,,
But your not reporting that,,,, You can rest assure,,, cnn ,,, Fox , ABC,,, Msnbc,, are getting more on this ,,, they will be reporting on this, and we will see

Yesterday I was contacted by Shannon Gilson from the Obama campaign. Ms. Gilson wrote the following:
"Our campaign has no confirmed plans to hold an event in Missoula....The Senator's schedule for the trip hasn't been confirmed. Most likely we will advise it a few days before the dinner."
My original source for the information, a high-level Democratic Party official, told me in an e-mail that:
"Obama is hard confirmed...he's going to Mssla first for a rally at UM... then on down to the dinner."
A second source in the Montana Democratic Party confirmed that he had also been told that Obama would announce the UM visit. We could not get confirmation from Obama's campaign or UM, so that information did not appear in the print edition of the story.
