From New West World Headquarters...

Welcome to a New NewWest.Net

You're seeing a whole new NewWest.Net today -- a new design that will help organize our stories, photos, commentary and blogs better, which we hope, in turn, will help you organize your experience on NewWest.Net better.

By Courtney Lowery, 5-19-08

The redesign, led by our creative director Marshall Hibbard and our intrepid development team, Chris Lombardi and Emily Witcher, incorporates a few new ventures and overall, gives our homepage a fresh new look.

Of course, there are other small changes too—ones you’ll notice right away, including the placement of the page in the center of your screen, more space, more organized navigation and a new place for the search NewWest.Net bar.

I’d love to hear what you think and am ready for questions and suggestions, so drop me a line with your thoughts at courtney@newwest.net. Also, please let us know if you have any problems viewing the site or spot any bugs we may have missed. We’re big on the collaborative process around here so the extra eyes are always appreciated.

And thanks for reading!

What sucks about your medium is that it only represents the far left of the "new west". a term for you yuppies.

Where is the fun stuff? Where is the action sports?

Why just this leftist pro wilderness foo foo drivel of boring?

I forgot your agenda is boring. Elitistsm of the left at its finest. Soft and fuzzy but slow and boring. Boring.

Democrat this and that. Barack this.We are so smart and everyone of these local hicks are stupid.

Ski blog = th suck
Outdoors=suck
Politics= the bore
Conferences=the unbalanced urban transplant drivel of "I suck at everything thats fun but I rule at boring elitist crap."

All I'm sayin is you tards should fukn open YOUR eyes to somthing not politically driven drivel of bore. We live in awesome places and people enjoy doing things other than hiking or road biking or fishing.

BTW, the "What's RIGHT in Montana" appears to be updated about once a month. Not exactly hot news.

Looks like the 'New West' listings do not include CO, UT anymore..

Helena: Thanks, we'll take a look at the blog list again and cull out any feeds that aren't updated often enough...

Bob, we're still covering Colorado and Utah and you can still find those stories on their respective pages and through our topics, via the New West Wire and in the New West features.

joe joe, if this site isn't your cup of tea, why do you feel the need to stop by and take a dump all over it? there are places for your mode of expression, they're called restrooms.

Actually, I rather like the new format; it provides greater diversity for the eye than the old format, like a flower garden. Give us time to consider value of the substantive changes. Good luck.
