The Associated Press is reporting that Sen. Larry Craig (R-ID) has a court date in the Minnesota Court of Appeals: Sept. 10.
A three-judge panel will hear oral arguments from his attorneys that Craig should be allowed to withdraw his guilty plea after an undercover police officer said Craig solicited him for sex in a Minneapolis airport bathroom stall.
Craig’s first request to withdraw his plea was denied by a county judge.

Comment By problembear, 8-01-08some creatures have no conscience, no soul, not one iota of dignity, no good in them whatsoever...just pure evil that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand straght up.
it doesn't originate from birth. it originates from being so phony that you hate yourself so much that even you don't recognize yourself anymore. this same soul devouring hypocrisy that consumed Larry Craig is starting to work on McCain. you can see it in his vacant staring eyes and that phony smile.
Larry Craig has cosistently voted the right way on gay issues.
If this had happened to Barney Frank, you would be petitioning the Pope to make him a saint.
Why don't we just go back to the deafening cry we heard from the left wing kooks about the Clinton crime family? " His personal sex life is nobody's business".
There is nothing about Larry Craig that benefits Idahoans all of his work in the senate has strictly benefited farms, ranchers, large land owners and corporations, he as forgotten about the people of Idaho. We can only hope he loses his appeal and he is again featured in the national media to expose this evil human being and provide a fitting end to a career political.
Comment By luvinlarry, 8-03-08Hey, if Larry can corral a reason to head back thru the Minneapolis airport under the guise of (orally) appealing his previous admission of guilt, more power to him, although I bet he'll have some stall-rubber's remorse as he walks past his ole hookup spot.
But Tom- Perhaps you didn't notice but there's a significant difference between the limp potato from Idaho and the fireball from Massachusetts- for one, Barney Frank's OUT OF THE CLOSET. He doesn't have trouble getting busted in men's bathrooms trying to get some, he's got an open life and doesn't lie to his wife unlike the not-so honorable hypocrite from Idaho. That's the trouble with Craigies- they'll draft the high and mighty legislation as they go through life lusting for a little layover b-job/bathroom sex, but then they find themselves begging their perfectly dissed wives to stick around with their lies, all the while proclaiming that "I am not gay, I have never been gay." We know Larry, we know you're not gay. You just dig having sex in airport bathrooms with men- not so much gay as a sidegig. We're okay with you getting off however you want in your private life, but when you fail to step down (as you said you would), and as you write such bigoted legislation as the defense of (lame) marraige act, we have a hard (ahem) time with you sweating yourself as you lust for the rooster in the next stall over.
Get it together man. Have sex at home, or at Ted Haggard's house- now that's conduct becoming a senator. But when we catch you with your pants down, saying you're not gay, well you're just embarrassing. Only your stand-by-your man wife should be more embarrassed.
Lastly Tom, I'm not interested in petitioning the pope on bathroom sex issues. He's been heavily petitioned about dirty sex between little people and mature "men of god" [sic], and (sick!), and he's come up (oof) short on all accounts. As soon as the Catholic heierarchy reailzes that child rape is endemic to their dangerous whitebread world view, perhaps el popito will get a petition. Until then, I'm keeping my kids away from that institution.
I'm loving Luvinlarry!
