NewWest.Net Event: Get Digital, Ten Tips for the NEW New Economy

By Nate Merkt, 2-17-09

NewWest.Net’s next live event, Ten Tips for the New New Economy, is scheduled for February 17 at Dauphine’s in Downtown Missoula, and it promises to be another brain-filling, fun-riddled night.

On tap are three of the city’s most Web savvy marketers and business gurus who will guide you through how to use the next generation of Web tools.

We know the economy is tough right now, but just as the downturn takes hold, the Web is offering big opportunities to remake, revive and re-imagine. We’ll be discussing things like Twitter, Facebook, texts, mobile web strategies, marketing innovations and a bunch of other new opportunities.

Join Tim Christensen, Vann’s Inc.’s director of media and technology, Cynthia Rademacher, partner at Maverick Group and Mike Sparr, the CEO of Goomzee as they chat with NewWest.Net publisher and CEO Jonathan Weber.

What: Ten Tips for the New New Economy
When: Tuesday, Feb. 17. 5-7:30 p.m. (Hosted networking reception to follow discussion).
Where: Dauphine’s 130 E. Broadway Street
Why: Strategies, tips, tools, libations and networking
How: $10 admission, $5 for students and $5 for members of the Missoula Downtown Association, the Sustainable Business Council and Montana Community Development Corp.

Any chance you'll record the event and make it available to those of us who can't make it?

Hey Jima,

Yep, we'll be twittering the panel on NewWest.Net's Twitter feed (find us at http://www.twitter.com/NewWest or text: follow newwest). And we'll be covering it -- with video and audio -- and possibly live streaming.

You'll want to send the text that Courtney just mentioned to 40404. Also, we will be streaming the video of this event through uStream.tv. Keep an eye on our Twitter account for details (http://twitter.com/NewWest). It will be available on YouTube afterwards.
