Obama Picks Abbey, Department Veteran, to Lead BLM
The BLM nominee has won praise from all sides.

President Barack Obama plans to nominate Bob Abbey, a longtime Interior Department official, as the new head of the Bureau of Land Management.
The announcement has been welcomed by the energy industry, conservationists and recreational vehicle users, who consider Abbey an even-handed leader.
“Bob Abbey is thoughtful, even-tempered, and responsive to stakeholder concerns,” said Marc Smith, executive director of the Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States.
Abbey had more than 32 years in public service, working with state and federal land management agencies before retiring from the federal government in July 2005.
He served eight years as the Nevada State Director for the BLM. From 1999 through 2005, Abbey led the implementation of the Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act and oversaw the allocation of more than $1.5 billion for resource management and environmental projects in the state.
Abbey was the BLM proponent for the Great Basin Restoration Initiative, testifying before congressional committees and working with both the BLM director and the Secretary of the Interior to elevate the status and funding levels for restoration activities in the Great Basin.
Most recently, Abbey was a consultant with Nevada’s Abbey, Stubbs, & Ford, LLC.
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, who would be Abbey’s boss, called him “the consummate professional natural resource manager.”
The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Abbey, who helped former Interior Secretary Bruce Babbitt complete a Utah wilderness inventory 10 years ago, testified in 2007 before the House Committee on Natural Resources, that he favored treating public lands as more than just a source for commodities.
“I am a firm believer in BLM’s multiple-use mandate,” he testified, “and I believe that appropriate public lands, not all public lands, should continue to be accessible for mineral extraction.”
The newspaper found praise for Abbey from both the off-highway vehicle interest group the BlueRibbon Coalition, and from the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance.
“He’s willing to listen. I think he’s a good choice,” McIntosh told the Tribune.
The Associated Press reports that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid recommended Abbey’s nomination.
“I can’t think of a more qualified person to head the BLM than Bob Abbey,” Reid said.
He’s one of two recent announcements to fill out the Interior roster. Also on Tuesday, Obama announced Sam D. Hamilton as his pick to head the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. A career senior biologist with the service, he is currently the agency’s southeast region director.

I sure hope this is a good choice for the wild horses. How would President Obama explain losing a resource that is so in tune with the beginnings of this country to his two daughters once the BLM has zero'd out 11 herd populations as they are to do as reported! There is plenty of land out there for horses if you stop leasing the horse reserves for cattlemen interests. Never saw a wild horse who minded cars going down the highway, telephone poles or wells. They are common place today and if wisdom is used, all can benefit.

and dye your hair to yellow or white.

and i have it cracked, this can be used to
stop aging, reverse aging,
we can use this to time travel, be immortal
and make money too
because infinity's law suggests the more people
you spread this truth to of, the more money
you are likely to make. ( it's the reward you
get from infinity for giving people the secret )
so tell people to wear white ( be nice, by force
is prohibited by federal law of infinity ).
or just wear white clothes and walk around
shopping malls, you become a role model
and your influence alone will earn you money.
WHITE as you know is a color that pushes
while BLACK is a color that pulls light.
so imagine if you were made up of light
and you were wearing black clothes.
you'd age faster than anyone else.
if you were wearing white, because it pushes
the light back, you could stop yourself
from aging.
try experiementing this with luxury places
because there is a competition going on, on earth.
it's as if everyones soul has some jealousy
inside them and they do not like it when
someone is about to spread the truth and rise
into power.
so keep yourself safe, experienment around
luxury stores where your safety is not jeapordized.
if you are a highly scientific person, try avoiding
conversation with highly religious people.
my own great parents are religious, so i am not
talking to them not even on the phone.
their voice and the way they think can interfier
with my imagination and distort the science
