New West Boise is a community news organization devoted to covering Idaho and Boise and providing a platform for dialogue.

New West Boise is operated by the next-generation media company New West Publishing LLC, and is part of the regional online news site NewWest.Net, which you can learn more about here.

New West Boise is run by a smart (if we do say so ourselves), scrappy group of entrepreneuers who juggle about 10 titles each to keep you informed, entertained and in the know. Most of us work from home, coffee shop and vehicle - and the Idaho Statehouse press room during the legislative session.

Sure, it’s a small news staff, but it’s mighty. Led by editor Jill Kuraitis, the New West Boise team includes Sharon Fisher and Joseph Friedrichs as well as a fistful of community bloggers. NewWest.Net/Boise primarily focuses on covering the big changes happening in our community, particularly as they relate to the outdoors, growth, politics, culture and the economy.
