If President Bush really did have a conscience then maybe we wouldn't be in Iraq? If he had at least the inkling of compassion he would be working to help the victims of hurricane Katrina. But he must not, as the Daily Kos pointed out. Here we have our commander in chief strummin' his gee-tar, on Tuesday rather than mobilizing and leading the country. Countless dead in the South, people scrambling for shelter and fresh water, just simply struggling to survive. What does Bush do, he has a hoedown.

It is frustrating enough to listen to republicans defend his every action but what is the defense for this?
