Emily Esterson moved to the Rocky Mountains from Vermont the day she graduated from college. She spent 12 years living and working in Boulder and Denver for publications such as Colorado Business Magazine, the Boulder Daily Camera and Natural Foods Merchandiser. In the mid-nineties, She moved to Boston to work at Inc. Magazine, where she wrote about growth companies and technology, and competed her horse (who has made several cross country journeys) at combined training events on the East Coast.
She moved West (her true home) again in 1999, this time to serve as editor of the New Mexico Business Weekly, based in Albuquerque. Her freelance work has appeared in Business Week, Dressage Today, Equus Magazine, Consulting Magazine, the Improper Bostonian, 5280, Delicious Magazine and other local and national publications. Her herd has grown from one horse to three, one goat, two dogs and three cats. She lives on a farm near the Rio Grande in North Central New Mexico.
