Bob Wire

Satirist, musician and dad. Puts his big mouth to use when he plays high-octane honky tonk with his band, the Magnificent Bastards.

Bob Wire Has a Point (It's Right Under His Hat)

Bob Wire moved to Missoula from Seattle in the early 90s, just as grunge was sweeping the nation. Not one to follow trends, Bob elected to point his boots down the unfashionable musical path of his honky tonk heroes -- Buck, Johnny, Patsy, Hank and Merle. His wife, Barb, met him in a Missoula bar when Bob swaggered in for an open mic, carrying a guitar case. She immediately fell under his spell (after much begging and pleading on his part), they soon married, and now Bob is a work-at-home dad to their two grade-schoolers, Rusty and Speaker. Bob has a rich, checkered past, which he’ll be occasionally drawing upon for his blog on NewWest.net. His music website is bobwiremusic.com.
