Bozeman Editor
Lucia Stewart
Raised by the Rocky Mountains, community event and word enchantress, recovering Outward Bound instructor, roused by music and mustard
Inspiring the un-interested people into caring and the interested into saying, “That’s fascinating,” is Lucia’s motive as a writer, educator and community events director.
Lucia Stewart currently the Productions Director for Porterhouse Productions. Focused on music, arts, ideas and community, she coordinates and produces conferences, concerts and events for 10 to 7,000 attendees.
Lucia spent years teaching experiential adventure education with Outward Bound in Utah and Colorado, instilling students with a sense of appreciation towards the world and our place in it. After coming off her outdoor “sabbatical,” she settled into Missoula to do the same through words by finishing a B.A. in Journalism.
After being the founding editor of Outside Missoula magazine, she moved to Bozeman to work with Porterhouse Productions and the non-profit BioRegional Outreach Network (BORN). Raised in the Rocky Mountains, she can’t seem to break free of the integrated network she sees within a vibrantly changing region. One of her life’s aspiration: no excuses needed for powder days or river trips.
