Where the East Coast meets the (New) West. Politics, culture and all things Boulder..

Amy Brouillette took a road trip to Boulder in 1990 and never left. A Western Massachusetts native who did a stint at Barnard College in New York, Amy quit the city, school and the east coast for Boulder's greener pastures, and has been tooling around town drinking coffee ever since. She received her B.A. in anthropology from the University of Colorado, and in 2004, returned to CU to pursue to a master's degree in journalism. For her master's project she traveled to Budapest to cover Hungary's 2006 parliamentary elections, where she fell in love with Hungary and Central Europe. She's written for the Boulder Weekly and The Denver Post, and is an avid devotee of online journalism and the way of the blog. When not in Boulder, Amy can likely be found wandering the streets of Budapest, highly caffeinated.
