Dan grew up in the Columbia Gorge. After a long sojourn, traveling and schooling from West to East and back, he has returned to live and raise a family and, maybe, a little heck. Dan made a living (not much of one, granted) as a newspaper reporter for everything from rural weeklies to suburban dailies to urban alternatives. Back where he belongs, Dan stepped over to the dark side ˜ publisher. He launched The Current (a Gorge alternative paper) and ran the Goldendale Sentinel, and, to complete his initiation into the sordid further reaches of journalism, has taken to launching a Gorge-wide Web node for New West.
