Born and raised in Los Alamos, New Mexico, Brenna came to Missoula in 2003 in pursuit of an outstanding journalism school and new adventures in an unfamiliar place. Never having been to Montana before deciding to go to school here, Brenna quickly found solace and a sense of belonging in Missoula's high mountains, flowing rivers and dark forests. After finishing her Bachelor's degree in journalism in the fall, Brenna will travel to Vienna in February to complete her Bachelor's degree in German. Then, she will most likely venture off to graduate school. That is, unless she finds a job she loves before that. (Har har)
Having been a writer for the Montana Kaimin and the Los Alamos National Lab Newsletter, Brenna is excited to now be at New West and at the center of change, growth and development within the Rocky Mountain region. She is grateful for the opportunity to write about things important to Missoula and looks at this internship as a chance to learn more about and get closer to the area, as well as the people in it.
