By Special Advertiser, 2-11-08

Wandering spirit?  Need some direction for your adventure, but crave some homespun hospitality?  Get “lost” at Lost Trail Powder Mountain in Western Montana.  Located less than 100 miles (or 1 ½ hours) from Missoula and Butte, MT and Salmon, ID, this family owned ski area is known for its dependable snow (over 300 inches), down-to-earth attitude and breathtaking beauty of the Bitterroot range.  Combine this with uncrowded slopes, a friendly smile and great prices; you’ll discover several new “trails” to follow.

With your trail map to adventure, ski “Drifter” and glide down the slope, lost in thought. Add an “Odyssey” run for more adventure.  Finally, seek “Far Out” and “Thunder” to face the challenges of this hidden jewel in the Rockies.  From the top of the Continental Divide at 8,200 feet, you’ll find direction to your experience, and it’s all downhill from there!

Lost Trail Powder Mountains prices seem to be lost in time too. Open only four days a week (Thursday through Sundays except holidays), adults can ski for $31 per day, youths $21 and children (and seniors) ski free.  For over 60 years, our family supplies your family and friends the opportunity to ski and play together. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our piece of heaven with you.

For a little relaxation after the slopes head to the Big Hole Valley and soak in some hot springs, try cross country skiing at Chief Joseph or explore the Big Hole National Battlefield on the Nez Perce Trail. Meet friends and locals alike over burgers and local brews to gourmet dinners.  You won’t be wandering anymore, but you will be wondering when you’ll be back to Lost Trail Powder Mountain.
