from the new west blog: Last Two Primaries Today
A Defining Day, or Just Another Tuesday?
Conflicting reports about Hillary's plans for tonight make the final primaries as tense as any.By Jill Kuraitis, 6-03-08
It’s supposed to be a defining day in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.
There’s a slight chance Senator Clinton will concede after today’s primaries in Montana and South Dakota, which are the last of the season. Senator Obama is projected to win both. Yesterday, President Clinton was quoted saying, “This may be the last day I’m ever involved in a campaign of this kind,” and some campaign staffers have been told to “stand down” today and await further instructions.
But I’ll only believe it when I see it, as Hillary’s tenacity has led us down this path before. And this afternoon, conflicting reports from the Clinton camp are impossible to interpret.
