Gov. Big Shot
Huntsman Appointed Co-Chair of WGA
By Tracy Medley, 6-11-07
The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting that Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman has been appointed vice chairman of the Western Governors’ Association.
19 states are represented in the WGA and Huntsman is excited to lead the group into the future. “We are on the cusp of a revolution, the likes we have not seen since the jointing of the east and west by the transcontinental railway in 1869,” Huntsman told The Trib. “Utah will have a chance to participate with the whole west in harmonizing our approach to powering the future.”
Huntsman’s new position paves the way for him to take over as head of the WGA sometime next year.
