Weekend Event
In the Mood For Haggis
By Dan Richardson, 1-19-06
Here's something not everybody on your block has been to: The annual Robert Burns Day festival in Condon, southeast of The Dalles. We're talking bagpipers, fiddlers, readings and the such, plus haggis, neeps and other good Scottish fare. A fine event for a rainy afternoon, laddie. It's this Saturday, it's in honor of the Scottish poet Burns, and it's at the historic, renovated Hotel Condon. Info, tickets: 541-384-2421.
