Job Growth Strong in the West

The West continues to lead the nation in job growth, with Nevada showing the fastest growth of any state (6.7%), followed by Arizona (4.1%), Oregon (4.1%), Utah (3.8%), Florida (3.5%) and Idaho (3%). All easily outpaced the national rate of 1.7%, notes the Idaho Statesman. With the national economy showing stronger-than-expected growth in the first quarter as well, the regional job picture should remain fairly bright.
