Planning in the West, June 17-18
NewWest.Net Launches Boise Conference
Another in our series of popular regional conferences will be held in beautiful Boise.By Jonathan Weber, 5-20-09
All of us here at NewWest.Net are very pleased to announce the latest addition to our highly successful regional conference series: Planning in the West, produced in partnership with Boise State University. The event will take place June 17-18 in Boise, with the main program happening at the spectacular Stueckle Sky Center on the Boise State University campus.
Our keynote speakers for this unique new event are Chris Duerkson, managing director of Clarion Associates, one of the largest and most influential planning firms in the country; and Arthur C. Nelson of the University of Utah, who is doing pioneering work on long-term growth and demographic trends in the region. We'll also be featuring prominent Boise developers including Bill Clark and Mark Rivers; public- and private-sector planners from Seattle, Missoula, Bozeman and a number of communities across Idaho; green design and development leaders from the architecture, planning and conservation communities; and much more.
We're delighted to be working with Boise State's Department of Public Policy and Administration, and with sponsors including Hawley Troxell, Harmony Design and Engineering, Red Sky Public Relations, Maverick Marketing and many more. As with all NewWest.Net events, Planning in the West promises top-notch presentations, conversations and networking, and good food and drink too. Continuing education credits will be available for planners and architects.
