Ritter and Freudenthal Tell Brokaw Independents Are Key to West

I’ve just gotten the chance to watch and read through the transcript from Wyoming Gov. Dave Freudenthal and Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter’s appearance on Meet the Press with Tom Brokaw and I’m impressed with how many Western issues (not just wolves and guns!) got solid (as in not watered down) national air time.
While the interview started out with the standard “Can Obama really win the West?” both Governors offered interesting insight on the independent vote and Brokaw, no stranger to Western topics himself, did a pretty good job at digging into the complexities of the big issues around here: energy, wildlife vs. energy, public lands and immigration.
