Schlushmans Chain arrives at Bridger Bowl.
By FuMa, Unfiltered 10-05-08
An instant classic, this expert only chair truly brings homespun Bridger up to its world class distinction. This expansion coupled with an extension of it open boundaries to include ridge top forrest service back country access gates, will give unprecedented access to the Bridger Range. On October 2, a helicopter lifted the upper bull wheel and final tower assemblies into place where crew bolted the the lift into form. Though still lacking the chairs and cable the new chair lift will turn the former back country Shlushmans drainage, south of Bridger into an expert skiers paradise. The new lift is just 120 steps to the ridge line, offers no easy way down, and will require an avalanche beacon.
