Tennis Stars Ditch Tamarack Project

The persistent financial troubles of Tamarack Resort in Valley County, Idaho, have received another overhead smash.
The Associated Press reports that champion tennis couple Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, along with other investors, have walked off the court and will not build a luxury hotel bearing their name at Tamarack.
The AP’s John Miller wrote, “Joel Goldman, one of Agassi’s and Graf’s partners, told The Associated Press, “Based on the pending litigation and current market conditions, we are not at this time proceeding with the project.”
Ken Rider, the resort’s communications director, said that Fairmont Hotels are still interested in Tamarack, and the Agassis still consider themselves “friends of the resort” and have left the concept of future cooperation open.
